ANDRIA LO

Michael C. Bush is CEO of Great Place to Work, where he leads the global enterprise of more than 50 offices around the world. Under Michael’s leadership, Great Place to Work has evolved its mission and methodology to recognize companies that build great workplaces for all employees, regardless of who they are or what they do for their company. Before joining Great Place to Work in 2015, he served as president of the 8 Factors, an online learning organization that he founded; CEO of Clark Sustainable Resource Developments; and CEO of Tetra Tech Communications, which he grew from $40 million to $300 million in revenues. Michael is a founding board member of the private equity seed-fund, Fund Good Jobs, which educates, accelerates, and invests in small inner-city businesses that lead to equitable communities for all. Michael has taught entrepreneurship courses at Stanford University and Mills College, and served as a member of President Obama’s White House Business Council. He earned his M.S. in management from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business. Michael lives in his hometown of Oakland, California, with his wife Melba. Michael has two adult sons, Matthew and Martin, and a daughter in-law Lisa, married to Matthew. He can often be found playing jazz saxophone with his septet “The Ways and Means Committee” in the Bay Area.

Ed Frauenheim is director of research and content at Great Place to Work. He authors research reports, conducts data analysis, and produces commentaries related to great workplaces in the United States and throughout the world. He codeveloped Great Place to Work’s Trust Mindset concept and has led several workshops on the topic. Before coming to Great Place to Work in 2014, Ed spent 15 years as a journalist and commentator focused on the intersection of work, technology, and business strategy. He has published articles in outlets including FORTUNE, Wired, and the Seattle Times, spoken at numerous events, and cowritten two books: Organized Innovation: A Blueprint for Renewing America’s Prosperity and Good Company: Business Success in the Worthiness Era. Ed has a bachelor’s degree in history from Princeton University and a master’s degree in education from the University of California at Berkeley. Ed lives in San Francisco with his wife, Rowena, and two kids, Julius and Skyla. In his spare time you can find him cheering for the Warriors, playing basketball himself, and dancing to Daft Punk.

Jessica Rohman is director of content at Great Place to Work and leads the development of content furthering Great Place to Work thought leadership. Jessica spent many years of her career as an organizational development consultant, working with leaders across industries to help improve the employee experience. She also led the Executive Strategy Network, a professional network for leaders of recognized 100 Best Companies. Since she began working at Great Place to Work in 2004, she has conducted extensive research on many of the best workplaces in the world, and has been featured as an expert on great workplaces for media outlets such as the Miami Herald, Diversity Woman magazine, and Oprah.com. She is also a frequent contributor to FORTUNE magazine. Jessica holds a B.A. in psychology and an M.A. in industrial and organizational psychology. She has also conducted doctoral studies in human and organizational systems at the Fielding Institute. Jessica lives in Berkeley, California, with her husband, Kris, and two children, Charlotte and Blake.

JUSTIN COIT

Sarah Lewis-Kulin is vice president of certification and list production at Great Place to Work. She is a frequent contributor to FORTUNE magazine with articles on research related to best companies. She developed Great Place to Work’s standard for certifying organizations as great workplaces. She also spearheaded the creation of Great Place to Work’s new For All methodology, which assesses the degree to which a company creates a consistently positive experience for employees, regardless of who they are or what they do for the organization. Sarah continues to oversee the evolving analysis determining Great Place to Work’s many Best Workplaces lists in the U.S., including the FORTUNE 100 Best Companies to Work For. Since joining Great Place to Work in 2000, she has consulted with clients, started the organization’s conference and networking programs, and served on its management team. Previously she worked in nonprofits and publishing. She graduated from Wellesley and lives in Massachusetts with her wife and sons.

Ann Nadeau currently serves as the chief people officer and chief marketing officer at Great Place to Work. Ann leads the global brand strategy to build brand awareness and connection while supporting organizational change through rapid organizational growth. In her previous roles as global managing director and vice president of international operations, Ann led the team that provided marketing, business development, product, training, and operations management for 50 countries worldwide. She expanded Great Place to Work’s business and mission into more than 30 new countries by launching Best Workplaces list partnerships, creating a successful intellectual property licensing model, and launching the first-ever Best Workplaces lists in Europe and Latin America.

Prior to Ann’s current roles at Great Place to Work, she served as head of brand marketing for California-based Joie de Vivre Hospitality, leading the introduction of the Joie de Vivre brand and opening of more than 15 unique hotel and restaurant brands. She earned a B.A. from the University of Michigan and M.S.B.A. from San Francisco State University. Ann lives in Oakland, California, with her wife, and together they co-own two acclaimed restaurants.

Marcus Erb loves using data to better understand the world and make it a better place. As he says himself, he’s been extremely fortunate to have been doing exactly that at Great Place to Work for 15 years and counting. In his current position, he leads GPTW’s Innovation and Development team, which focuses on developing the next set of tools and insights to help companies build better workplaces for their people and performance. In his previous experience, Marcus worked for an international research and management consulting firm specializing in customized customer satisfaction, performance measurement, strategic development, and organizational assessment programs. Marcus received his B.A. in psychology from Occidental College in Los Angeles and his M.S. in analytics from Villanova University. In his free time, you will likely find him enjoying the beautiful outdoors of the San Francisco Bay Area, rooting loudly for the Giants and Warriors, and laughing trying to keep up with his two young daughters.
