You need a latest browser to run the code samples mentioned in the book. To access the code from GitHub, you will need to install Git version control, optionally, the code samples can be downloaded as a ZIP file from the links mentioned in the following Downloading the example code section.

Ember CLI runs on Node.js and hence, it is important to install the latest version of Node.js. Bower is used to manage the dependencies of your Ember CLI application. The instructions to install Git, Node.js, and bower can be found in the Setting up your first Ember.js application using Ember CLI section of the first chapter.
