Do not use !important

Easy to say, hard to do. Using !important is one of the easiest workarounds available to make your styles apply to an element. However, this comes at a price of its own. CSS or Cascading Style Sheets rely on the fact that the styles will be cascaded based on the priority of the application (ID, class, and element tag) or the order in which they appear. Using !important messes that up, and if you have multiple CSS files, then it becomes a big mess to correct. It's better to avoid such a practice and do it the right way from the get-go.
