The Accelerometer widget allows you to read accelerometer data from your mobile device. In other words, it can internally connect with the built-in accelerometer on your mobile device and read data.
These steps will show you how to add the Accelerometer widget onto the project's canvas:
- On the toolbar, tap the plus icon to open the Widget Box.
- Then, scroll down the page, and under SMARTPHONE SENSORS, tap Accelerometer. The Accelerometer widget takes 400 units of energy from your energy store.
- The Accelerometer widget will be placed on the canvas (Figure 6.2):

You can only have a single Accelerometer widget in your project.
