In this chapter, you have worked through creating a template API service that we will reuse for upcoming services. You have written the service and now understand what elements you will need and how they are connected.

You have learned how the template preconfigures common packages, how it sets up Fluent, the way it deals with information, and how it handles credentials. This has equipped you with the ability to write functional microservices that can operate together.

With this template, you are now equipped to work on the microservices for our online shop backend! In the next chapter, we will discuss the application structure and database design.
