Dedication

This new edition is dedicated to my incredibly loving, supportive husband, Ron, who through the six books I’ve written did much of the proofreading; was my sounding board, brought me food while I was stuck at the computer; saw to the household chores, so I could write and was always available for a hug or back rub whenever either was needed.

Ron sadly passed away shortly after I turned in the manuscript to this new edition.

He was incredibly bright, a versatile filmmaker, skilled craftsman, voracious reader, talented writer, a lover of history, a homebody, a true friend, a devoted father, brother and a wonderful husband. He was my biggest fan and the kindest, most devoted partner I could have asked for. I am grateful for the many happy years we had together and will love and miss him always!
