Acknowledgments

I can’t believe I’m actually able to say I have a book published about something that has had such a big influence in my life. If you had said to my eight-year-old self that I was going to author a book about all the great things I love to build with LEGO, I would have said that would be an absolute dream come true—yet here I am. It’s happened! I may not have made it into the monthly LEGO Club Magazine as a kid (despite my best efforts), but now I can say I have my own book—just wow!

Since I started my journey with this publication, I have realized so much organization, planning, and creativity goes into putting a book together—something I never really appreciated before. Therefore, I owe so much to a host of people who helped me put this creation together.

Firstly, a huge thank you to Kelly Reed for believing in me and being so patient whilst I put together all the chapters of my book. In my naivety, I thought writing and photographing my first book would be absolutely no problem whilst being a parent, oh, and moving house at the same time. How wrong I was! So, thank you Kelly for bearing with me whilst I juggled everything to get the book where it is today.

Thanks also to my superstar manager, Craig Knox, who has kept me on the straight and narrow through the whole process. You’ve been a great source of knowledge, and you were always there to offer great advice whilst keeping me sane and laughing throughout.

For helping to bring the book to fruition and offering so much advice and expertise, a huge thanks to Linda Laflamme for doing such a thorough job at dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s. And to Aren Straiger for doing such a superb job in making the book look as vibrant and eye-catching as it is.

I wouldn’t be where I am today without the support of the community on my YouTube channel. Thank you to everyone who has subscribed and continued to watch me on my journey creating video content. You’ve always supported me and provided constructive criticism, which has helped me no end to make my best content yet. If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t be here writing my first book.

I love my Mom and Dad so much, and I’ll be forever grateful to you for giving me the gift of LEGO from such a young age. I have so many fond family memories growing up playing with LEGO with you both; they really were some of the best years. Dad, I hope you’re proud of where I’ve come so far, and Mom, I hope you’re looking down, proud of your boy.

Finally, I am so unbelievably grateful to my wife Trisha. Since we met, you have been patient beyond belief with me and supportive with absolutely everything I do, no matter how absurd at times! You have supported me through all the working nights and all the stresses that come with it. Thank you so, so much.

And of course, thank you for bringing our pride and joy, Charlie, into our lives. We really are an awesome little team, and I couldn’t imagine a moment without either of you. Charlie, you don’t know it, but you’ve given me so much inspiration and drive to put this book together.
