In this chapter, we went through all the basics of procedural PHP while writing simple examples in order to practice them. You now know how to use variables and arrays with control structures and functions, how to get information from HTTP requests, and how to interact with the filesystem among other things.

In the next chapter, we will study the other and most used paradigm: OOP. That is one step closer to writing clean and well-structured applications.
