Cascading is a good Object Relational Mapping (ORM) feature, but it could generate issues. The better thing to avoid problems with deletion is to use the cascade only from parent entities to children and not vice versa. Always use with attention to the cascade operations and use them only when your business logic requires. Another important thing, never put CascadeType.ALL inside a default parent-child association entity state propagation configuration.
