This project has endured numerous impacts brought by COVID-19, in terms of immediate physical challenges to the Rocky Nook staff, but also to the various and sundry “external” problems addressed by their suppliers and contractors, scattered around the globe. As a result, I’ve dealt almost exclusively with ever-patient, ever-capable Jocelyn Howell and the technical support team at Olympus. As always, the staff of Rocky Nook (Scott Cowlin, Ted Waitt, and others who played a lesser but no less significant role) are competent, helpful, and available, as are the contractors Rocky Nook hires for their special areas of technical expertise. They have managed this project across an extended calendar, with changes in Olympus resources as well as a corporate re-organization, without compromising the integrity of the project.

As always, my most valuable colleague and collaborator was my best friend, who was also my wife, editor, advisor, and motivator. To Heather’s memory my efforts in this book project are dedicated.
