Summary

When you evaluate the success of your staffing processes, it is necessary to measure both efficiency (i.e., anything that measures time, speed, cost, or volume) and effectiveness (the extent to which the staffing gaps and surpluses that you defined were alleviated through the implementation of your staffing plans). As with all plans, it is best to measure and track progress along the way, not just at the end, when the plans are completed. This will allow you to adjust staffing processes throughout the planning period, making it more likely that the plans will have the desired impact.
