Turning Toward Heaven

Prayer is about our relationship with God. It is about the conversations we have with our Father, sometimes out loud and within our Church community, sometimes out loud in solitude, and sometimes without any words, sounds, or gestures. Prayer can be as individual as a fingerprint.

The next three chapters will look first at prayer in general—why we pray, how we pray, where Jesus and Mary fit in—and then at more specific types of prayer, including the Lord’s Prayer, Christianity’s “perfect” prayer.
