Visual Basic 6 Features Not Supported in .NET

Before you migrate your VB6 application to VB .NET you should understand which VB6 features are not supported in VB .NET. If your VB6 application uses any of these unsupported features, one good strategy is to redesign them out of your application before you begin the migration process. Table A.1 contains a list of unsupported features in VB .NET.

The greater the number of unsupported elements, the greater the cost of migration will be. You will have to evaluate the cost and benefits of migration relative to the costs of choosing one of the previously mentioned choices, like a rewrite. As mentioned earlier, one good strategy is to run the migration wizard to determine the number of changes involved in a migration.
