We’ve talked the talk. Now it’s time to show you some webcomics! The following are three webcomics in the humor, adventure, and manga styles.
This humor webcomic (see Figure 7.1), written by T Campbell and drawn by Sam Romero, mashes together two rhyming pop-culture elements for comedic effect. The Versus Verses makes its debut in the pages of Webcomics 2.0 and will continue in an online venue. Check out Campbell’s website at www.webcomics.com for news on The Versus Verses’ final destination.
This adventure webcomic (see Figure 7.2), written by Steve Horton and drawn by Sam Romero, is a throwback to 1980s detective television shows and stars a hard-bitten detective on the run who goes by the name Kincaid. The Driftermakes its debut in the pages of Webcomics 2.0 and will continue as a serial on www.comicspace.com.
This manga webcomic (see Figure 7.3), written and drawn by Sam Romero, is a morally ambiguous tale about an assassin of demons in a seedy underworld. This is an original short story in a totally new style. Edge the Devilhunter, in its original form, has a large archive on www.graphicsmash.com, and that’s where you can follow Edge’s continuing adventures.
