About the Author

Steve Osborne has an enviable record of leading successful business ventures and capturing new business. He has led efforts to capture more than $12 billion in government contracts, conducted more than 40 classes on business capture, written thousands of pages of proposal text, and served as a professional proposal consultant to a host of companies that compete for government business.

Dr. Osborne’s proposal experience spans nearly 200 proposals, and his cumulative win rate for the past 25 years is over 90 percent for proposals he managed.

His more than 30 years of business development experience cover all branches of the military services, numerous federal government agencies, and a variety of commercial markets, both domestic and international. He has started and managed two medium-sized subsidiaries and has held senior and executive management positions with four Fortune 200 aerospace and defense companies. For the past 20 years, Dr. Osborne has served as president and senior consultant at Cornerstone Training, Inc., a proposal and business development consulting firm he founded.

Dr. Osborne holds a Ph.D. from Arizona State University, where he also served on the faculty.
