The Origins of ASMR

Although it appears to be a brand-new way to conquer sleeplessness and stress, ASMR is a relaxation methodology that contains elements of much older spiritual and clinical practices, including meditation, hypnosis, white noise, and biofeedback, among others.

When ASMRtists create their content, they infuse many of these practices into their work to give their listeners or viewers a peaceful environment in which to slow their heart rate, block out the noise of the day, and succumb to slumber at last.

In this part, we explore the various practices that have contributed to the ASMR phenomenon and taken relaxation to the next level.
