About the authors

Duncan Peberdy

Whilst I’m still not sure ‘what I want to be when I grow up’, an earlier career selling IT opened up an opportunity to write articles for several leading consumer technology publications. This was followed by my first novel – Out Of Control.

More recently I have worked with a leading UK University developing learning and teaching strategies using Multi-Display Environments. Such collaborative solutions have been successfully implemented now by leading global corporations.

I live in Droitwich Spa with my wife Elaine and our two grown-up children: Sophie and Tom. Photography and writing are my creative passions, and in old age I aspire to be ‘Victor Meldrew’.

Jane Hammersley

My career path has been diverse and exciting, spanning both hardware and software environments, manufacturers and distributors all with a single common thread – Business Meetings.

A salesman by trade and author by a twist of fate, the inspiration for this book has derived from meeting experiences during the last 24 years, both in the workplace and as part of volunteer committees. Today, I am actively engaged with organisations – putting our ‘Brilliant Meetings’ strategies in to practice.

Leading a ‘grown-up’ life can be difficult, but my six-year-old daughter Eve offers me solace and inspiration, when needed, whilst my husband Mark challenges and loves me, the formula for our happy and fulfilled family life.

Together we have a real passion to make a difference to everyone who attends, arranges or leads meetings, to enable personal satisfaction to be achieved as well as corporate gain. Through our recently created company, Space 2 Inspire, we facilitate the introduction of a Brilliant Meetings culture in to the organisations we work with.

www.meetingexpert.co.uk has been created to document and share the best practices, information and templates used by the ‘Brilliant Meetings’ community and will be maintained and developed with all the passion and commitment applied to this book.
