About the Author

Dr. Stefan Cantore is a senior university teacher at the University of Sheffield Management School, United Kingdom, where his focus is on professional development and executive education. His doctoral research explored the role of conversation in organization change, and he has published extensively in this field, including the well-reviewed practitioner-orientated book: Appreciative Inquiry for Change Management. He has an MBA, is a qualified executive coach, and has a master’s in people and organizational development.

He maintains an active consulting practice working with individuals, organizations, and systems who recognize that development practices and ideas that once seemed to work are no longer as effective as they need to be. Stefan is cofounder with Dr. Mark Gatenby of the Centre for Co-design and Learning (http://www.codesign.org.uk).

He is a frequent presenter at practitioner and academic conferences speaking on topics relating to learning in systems and organization development. Earlier careers include hospitality management, senior public-sector leadership roles in the UK National Health Service, time spent as a healthcare CEO, and full-time organizational and systemic consulting across private and public sectors.
