Summary

This chapter covered three mechanisms for state management: The Session, Application and Cache objects. The Session object, which is used for managing state per-user, can be managed in-process session state, out-of-process session state, or out-of process in an SQL Server database. The Application and Cache objects are for managing state across the entire application. The Cache object can be used for more sophisticated tasks of caching information.
