In this chapter, we covered a multitude of things like: what service discovery is and why we need it, container orchestration basics and state reconciliation principles, as well as some major players in the orchestration world. With that knowledge in hand, we went on to implement a single-node full cluster using Docker Swarm to show how something like this can be done and near the end we used Docker stack to manage groups of services together, hopefully showing you how this can all be turned from theory to practice.
