Overview

I will continue our study of design patterns with the Bridge pattern. The Bridge pattern is quite a bit more complex than the other patterns you just learned; it is also much more useful.

In this chapter,

• I derive the Bridge pattern by working through an example. I will go into great detail to help you learn this pattern.

• I present the key features of the pattern.

• I present some observations on the Bridge pattern from my own practice.
