COOLING ALOE LOTION
TIME: 15 MINUTES, PLUS 2 HOURS TO FREEZE
MAKES: 10 LOTION CUBES
CONTAINER: ICE CUBE TRAY
A soothing and cooling freezer lotion infused with CBD. This lotion contains no added preservatives or fragrances, which makes it a great choice for sensitive skin. Use straight from the freezer as a convenient cube whenever you need relief.
1⁄4 cup (60ml) coconut oil
3⁄4 cup (180ml) preservative-free aloe vera juice, or gel from aloe vera leaves
1⁄2 tsp (2.5ml) lemon juice
2 tsp (10ml) or less CBD oil
1. In a small saucepan or microwaveable dish, warm and melt the coconut oil completely.
2. In a blender, combine the aloe vera, melted coconut oil, lemon juice, and desired amount of CBD oil. Blend until creamy and smooth.
3. Use some of the lotion immediately if desired. Pour the rest of the lotion into an ice cube tray and freeze until solid.
4. Once frozen, pop the solid lotion from the tray and store in an airtight container in the freezer. Use within 3 months.
TO USE:
Remove a lotion cube from the freezer and rub directly on to your skin, allowing the lotion to melt and absorb. The cooling lotion can soothe minor skin irritations, rashes, and sunburn.
Note:
This lotion must be used within a day if it is not refrigerated, and within 3 days if it is refrigerated and not frozen. Do not use if it has been at room temperature for more than a day or refrigerated for more than 3 days.
