The min operator

The min operator emits the item of the source observable that contains the minimum value of the whole sequence. The following figure shows the marble diagram of this operator:

Its prototype is the following:

Observable.min(self, comparer=None)

Here, the comparer parameter is a function being used to compare items. If no comparer is provided, then the equality operator is used.

Here is an example of the min operator:

numbers = Observable.from_([1, 2, 3, 4])

numbers.min().subscribe(
on_next = lambda i: print("on_next {}".format(i)),
on_error = lambda e: print("on_error: {}".format(e)),
on_completed = lambda: print("on_completed")
)

This example gives the following result:

on_next 1
on_completed
