About the Authors

Dharma Raj Cheruku started his career as a scientist at LRDE, Bangalore, and later switched to MACE, Visakhapatnam. A postgraduate in the field of microwave and radar engineering from Osmania University, he was also a gold medalist at the undergraduate level. He joined the College of Engineering, GITAM University, Visakhapatnam, in 1990 as Assistant Professor, and was successively elevated as Professor, Head of the Department, and then Director of Academic Affairs, a position which he still holds. He is in addition, the Chairman of the Board of Studies of BE (ECE) at GITAM University, and a member of the Board of Studies in Electronics at Nagpur University. An ardent researcher in the field of antennas and biomedical engineering and an active member of numerous professional societies, Professor Cheruku is also the treasurer of Biomedical Engineering Society of India.

Battulu Tirumala Krishna is Associate Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, GITAM University, Visakhapatnam. A postgraduate from Andhra University, he is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in digital signal processing. He has rendered several papers at national and international conferences, the significant ones being First order and second order IIR type digital differentiator for real time applications presented at Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana, in November 2006, and A new procedure for the design of fractional order digital differentiators and integrators presented at Andhra University Autonomous College of Engineering, Visakhapatnam, in February 2007.
