About the Author

GERARD O'DRISCOLL is a graduate of the University of Limerick, where he earned qualifications in Electronics and Information Technology. He has held various managerial and business development positions in Ireland. Currently, he is the head of New Interactive Services at Irish Multichannel—a leading provider of digital TV, Internet, and telephony services. He is responsible for developing and delivering a range of interactive TV and Internet-based services to the company's customer base. He is also the author of The Essential Guide to Digital Set-top Boxes and Interactive TV.
