In this chapter, we have discussed how to performance-test a microservice-based application. We have also demonstrated how to load-test a microservice by using the JMeter and Gatling tools. An application that uses a microservice architecture is distributed, which means that performance testing is very important. 

In Chapter 9, Performance Monitoring of Microservices, we'll discuss the performance monitoring of a microservice architecture and the various APM tools that can be utilized to test microservices.
