A communication link is a simple line from an actor to a use case. This link is used to show that an actor has a relationship with a particular use case. An actor won't have access to all use cases, so communication links are very important when displaying which use cases are accessible by which actor. Let's take a look at an example of a communication link, as shown in the following diagram:
