This book has been a long time in gestation and is dedicated to all the librarians I have been privileged to work with and learn from in my career. Professor David Jones, as the Chair of CAVAL Collaborative Solutions, taught me much more than I could ever re-pay. Sue Henczel has always been a furnace of good ideas, practice and ‘can do’ approaches. I especially thank my staff at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Library for their belief in and action toward what we imagined for our library’s future.
