About the editors

Valentina E. Balas, PhD, is currently a full professor in the Department of Automatics and Applied Software of the Faculty of Engineering, “Aurel Vlaicu” University of Arad, Romania. She holds a PhD in applied electronics and telecommunications from Polytechnic University of Timisoara. Dr. Balas is author of more than 300 research papers in refereed journals and international conferences. Her research interests are in intelligent systems, fuzzy control, soft computing, smart sensors, information fusion, modeling and simulation. She is the Editor-in Chief of the International Journal of Advanced Intelligence Paradigms (IJAIP) and the International Journal of Computational Systems Engineering (IJCSysE), a member of the editorial boards of several national and international journals, and an evaluator expert for national and international projects. She served as general chair of the International Workshop for Soft Computing and Applications from 2005 to 2018, held in Romania and Hungary. Dr. Balas has participated in many international conferences as an organizer, session chair and member of the international program committees. Currently, she is working on a national project with EU funding support: BioCell-NanoART = Novel Bio-inspired Cellular Nano-Architectures—For Digital Integrated Circuits, a 2MEuro project from National Authority for Scientific Research and Innovation. She is a member of EUSFLAT, ACM, and a Senior Member of IEEE, and is also a member of the Technical Committee on Fuzzy Systems (IEEE CIS), the Technical Committee on Emergent Technologies (IEEE CIS), and the Technical Committee on Soft Computing (IEEE SMCS). Dr. Balas was Vice-president (Awards) of IFSA International Fuzzy Systems Association Council (2013–15) and is a Joint Secretary of the Governing Council of the Forum for Interdisciplinary Mathematics (FIM), A Multidisciplinary Academic Body, India. She is also director of the Department of International Relations, Programs and Projects and head of the Intelligent Systems Research Centre in Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad, Romania.

Le Hoang Son, PhD, obtained a PhD in Mathematics/Informatics at VNU University of Science, Vietnam National University in 2013. He has been Associate Professor of information technology since 2017. Dr. Son worked as senior researcher and Vice Director at the Center for High Performance Computing, VNU University of Science, Vietnam National University from 2007 to 2018. Since August 2018, he has been the head of the Department of Multimedia and Virtual Reality, Information Technology Institute, VNU. His major fields include artificial intelligence, data mining, soft computing, fuzzy computing, fuzzy recommender systems, and geographic information systems. He is a member of the International Association of Computer Science and Information Technology (IACSIT), Vietnam Society for Applications of Mathematics (Vietsam), and Key Laboratory of Geotechnical Engineering and Artificial Intelligence at University of Transport Technology (Vietnam). Dr. Son serves on the Editorial Board of Applied Soft Computing (ASOC, in SCIE), the International Journal of Ambient Computing and Intelligence (IJACI, in SCOPUS), and the Vietnam Journal of Computer Science and Cybernetics (JCC). He is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Intelligent & Fuzzy Systems (JIFS, in SCIE), IEEE Access (in SCIE), Neutrosophic Sets and Systems (NSS), Vietnam Research and Development on Information and Communication Technology (RD-ICT), VNU Journal of Science: Computer Science and Communication Engineering (JCSCE), and Frontiers in Artificial Intelligence.

Sudan Jha, PhD, received his Bachelor of Engineering in electronics engineering from Motilal Nehru Regional College, Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India, in 2001; he became a Lecturer at Nepal Engineering College (NEC), one of the largest engineering colleges and the first one in the private domain in Nepal. He received a full scholarship from NEC to pursue a master’s in computer science. He chaired and organized five international conferences, some of the proceedings of which have been published by Springer Verlag, World Science Series, Imperial Press London, and other noted publishers. He was promoted to Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering after completion of his Master’s degree and then became the head of the Computer Science and Engineering Department.

Manju Khari, PhD, is Assistant Professor at the Ambedkar Institute of Advanced Communication Technology and Research, under Govt. of NCT Delhi, affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, India. She is also Professor in-charge of the IT services of the Institute and has more than 12 years of experience in network planning and management. She holds a PhD in computer science and engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Patna and received her master’s degree in information security from Ambedkar Institute Technology of Advanced Communication Technology and Research, Delhi, India. Her research interests are in software testing, software quality, software metrics, information security, and nature-inspired algorithms. She has published 60 papers in refereed national and international journals and conferences and has authored 6 book chapters and coauthored 2 books. She is a life member of various international and national research societies (SDIWC, IAENG, etc.). She is guest editor of the International Journal of Advanced Intelligence Paradigms, reviewer for the International Journal of Forensic Engineering, and Editorial Board Member of the International Journal of Software Engineering and Knowledge Engineering.

Raghvendra Kumar, PhD, has been working as Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at LNCT College, Jabalpur, MP, and as a PhD (Faculty of Engineering and Technology) at the Jodhpur National University, Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India. He completed his Master of Technology from KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, and his Bachelor of Technology from SRM University, Chennai, India. His research interests include graph theory, discrete mathematics, robotics, cloud computing, and algorithms. He also works as a reviewer and an editorial and technical board member for many journals and conferences. He regularly publishes research papers in international journals and conferences and supervises postgraduate students in their research work.
