About the Author

Dr Jeynes is a long-term contributor to discussions about health and safety and risk management, with her PhD in 2000 identifying critical elements of practical health and safety management for small and microbusinesses.

She served as the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) Policy Chairman of Employment Affairs/Health and Safety for 20 years, representing them nationally and internationally. Dr Jeynes:

Was a member of HSE and BSI committees in UK, speaking at international conferences including Finland, Spain, Italy, Germany, Washington DC;

Contributed articles and was member of editorial advisory board of LexisNexis Health & Safety at Work journal;

Represented UK Women Entrepreneurs in United Nations Congress on Women in China;

Gained her PhD at Aston University, publishing three health and safety titles between 2000 and 20004, one of which was translated into Turkish and;

Was a Senior Moderator on CIEH Risk Management Qualifications.

She continues to write nonfiction books (receiving national Writer of the Year and Specialist Business Advisor of the Year awards). Jacqueline lives with her husband Leslie in Wales, UK, and combines long-distance walking with art history and travel writing. In 2021, BEP Ltd published Targeting the Mature Traveler with a further title due How a Global Pandemic Changed the Way We Travel in 2022.
