The mind, stress and mindfulness

Now that we have introduced the basic principles of mindfulness and highlighted the ways in which it can help you with your busy life, and demonstrated how to start to practise it, we are now keen to turn your attention to busyness and stress because, let us face it, busyness would not be a problem at all if it felt nice and was not stressful, would it? In this second part of the book we are going to turn your attention to:

  • What exactly it is that creates more busyness and stress for us.
  • How we can create more time without changing a thing around us or any of our life circumstances.
  • Why and how we became such busy creatures.
  • What happens when we start to feel stressed and what we can do to feel less stressed.
  • Look at the busy world that goes on in our mind: our thoughts.
  • Practise lots of mindfulness.
