About the Author

Maryann Karinch is the author of 21 books, most of which focus on human behavior. In recognition of her accomplishments in extreme sports and her work as a dedicated explorer of the psyche and mind-body interaction, The Explorers Club elected her to membership in 2010. She is also a member of The Authors Guild.

Maryann’s most recent titles are Find Out Anything From Anyone, Anytime (Career Press, coauthor James Pyle), Forging Healthy Connections (New Horizon Press, coauthor Trevor Crow, LMFT), The Wandering Mind (Rowman & Littlefield, coauthor John Biever, MD), and How to Spot a Liar (Revised Edition, Career Press, coauthor Greg Hartley).

In 2004, Maryann founded The Rudy Agency, a literary agency specializing in non-fiction. Earlier in her career, she served as director of communications for a prominent lobbying organization. Before that, she managed a professional theater and raised funds for arts and education programs in Washington, D.C. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in speech and drama from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C and is a Certified Personal Trainer (American Council on Exercise).
