Regardless of your setup, which will include anything from a webcam microphone right through to a condenser microphone entering your video editing computer via a small mixer or pre amp, the process and the software application will be pretty much the same. For this exercise, I am simply using a Logitech C910 HD web camera with its built in microphone, which I will use to record some voice-over. Due to the virtually infinite number of setups you may have as your recording hardware, you will need to do some homework or talk to the people where you purchased your microphone and equipment from in order to ensure you are getting a signal from the microphone into the computer audio inputs.
