Dr. John Izzo

Dr. John Izzo is a bestselling author, a community leader, a journalist, a change agent, executive coach, and one of North America’s most sought-after speakers on leadership, corporate culture, personal development, and socially responsible business. Each year he speaks at over one hundred events around the world challenging people to step up to the challenge of leadership.

He is the author of four bestselling books including Awakening Corporate Soul, which established him as a pioneer in the movement to create high engagement, socially responsible workplaces. His bestselling book Values Shift was ahead of its time when he showed how employee and consumer values were shifting and how businesses would have to adapt to this new set of emerging values, including sustainability and social responsibility.

His book The Five Secrets You Must Discover Before You Die is an international bestseller based on his Biography Channel television series in which he interviewed two hundred fifty people ages 60 to 106 asking them to reflect on what they had learned about life.

Over the past twenty years he has spoken to over one million people, taught at two major universities, and helped over six hundred organizations create sustainable cultural change including WestJet, Tim Hortons, Hewlett Packard, TELUS, Applebee’s, IBM, Walmart, the Mayo Clinic, and Clorox. Izzo holds a bachelor of arts degree in sociology from Hofstra University, a master’s in theology from McCormick Theological Seminary, and a doctorate from Kent State University. He has served on the board of several large nonprofit agencies including United We Can, the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society, and BeadforLife.
