Keep the Bus Rolling

Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and blaze a trail.

—Ralph Waldo Emerson

As I've mentioned throughout the field guide, it is important to reinforce the Energy Bus principles on a regular basis in order to have lasting impact. Reading the book and answering some questions and an activity is not a one-time event. I know that your work with The Energy Bus is the beginning of a positive journey that will change the course of your life, and in this spirit, I want to share some final best practices and materials you can use to create even greater success and an even more enjoyable ride. You can also use these materials as inspiration to create your own ideas and approaches to bolster the success of any of your Energy Bus initiatives. The key is to keep fueling the ride with positive energy.

The Positive Energy Assessment

The Positive Energy Assessment helps you know and understand where your bus is at the start of its journey. That information can help you in designing the best road map to success. As you work through this simple list of questions, consider making a list of the areas of opportunity that you may want to address as you roll out your Energy Bus program.

  1. How positive is our culture?

  2. How clear is our team in where we are going?

  3. How strong is our communication?

  4. How connected are we in our relationships?

  5. Is our team or company known for being a positive organization to work for?
