Acknowledgments

The standard procedure in this section is to say thanks and give an acknowledgement to my wife Lois, my family, co-workers and clients who have contributed their input to this book.

Since I have done that elsewhere, I would also like to acknowledge the great advice I have received from the people I have met and gotten to know. I truly have been blessed with mentors and friends who have helped me along the way.

I have included some of these people in this book, but I am sure I left out or greatly short-changed others. Believe me, it was not intentional. And if I did not include you on the page, please know I will always remember you and your words and I greatly appreciate it.

Over my lifetime I have read about and worked with many successful entrepreneurs. In my opinion, one of the greatest was Steve Jobs, co-founder, chairman and CEO of Apple.

In the late 1990’s, Apple branded itself with the famously grammatically questionable tagline “Think Different.” The capstone of the campaign was a TV commercial known as “Here’s to the Crazy Ones.”

As images of iconic activists, artists, explorers and scientists flashed on the screen, the following words were recited.

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”

I encourage you to change the world.

Thank you again for reading.
