I: The Social Strategy

Do you know what gets me really jazzed about using social media and virtual events in your trade show exhibit strategy? It’s not just the fun games you can play to drive traffic to your booth. It’s not Foursquare check-ins or posting pictures on your company Facebook page. To me those things, while a great addition to your exhibit, are still just the same tired strategy of the past but with different tools.

What gets me really excited is the real-time possibilities of social media. The way it allows you to create a community or be a part of one that already exists. It’s about leveraging its power to bring you and your audience together. And it’s about leveraging that community to reach a wider audience than just those attending the show.
