Conclusion

You did it, congrats!

Check-in. What were you working on in the beginning? How do you feel about it now? What were your glows and grows?

And again, congrats. Deciding to work on yourself is a major undertaking. When I was growing up and throughout all my career thus far (I know, I’m only 36), I realize some people are perfectly comfortable where they are. They don’t want to be better. They like being exactly where they are and not moving any farther along the spectrum of improvement.

Then there are the people who want to be better. These people continue to grow and learn after school. These people want to constantly be the best version of themselves and they know that to do that, you have to do some hard things once in a while. We communicate constantly. Even now, you’re reading the words I’m writing, and I write how I speak, so if we ever meet, you’ll hear a lot of the same things. I’m communicating with you, and together we’re working on making you the best version of yourself when it comes to impromptu communication. Even when it’s prepping the planned communication so you are ready for the impromptu communication, you are working on the on-the-spot, seemingly on-the-fly moments some people are just so good at.

You can be good at it too!

A few things to remember:

1.   You’re incredible because you’re choosing to work on who you are to be a better version of you.

2.   This is a big step—go out and follow the fear and revisit that expectation from the beginning, and now go do the thing that you were too worried about doing. Or do the thing you’ve always been doing, and this time, do it better.

3.   Continuing education continues. It’s not done here, so this is very far from the end. More like a “to be continued” and instead of me telling you what’s next, it’s all on you.
