PART
2

What It Takes to Create

Do you know why you have a desire to create and what motivates you to follow through with your creative expression? Some people describe this feeling as an undeniable urge to communicate their individuality and originality. This can be done through either the written or spoken word, by using your hands, or through body movements. In this part, you start to examine the “why” behind creativity.

This part also teaches you that being creative is far more than coming up with innovative ideas. You see the difference between immediate inspiration and the stages involved in the creative process. You also see how creative thinking works with both sides of the brain, the differences between convergent and divergent thinking, and the wonder of “accidental” creations. I then delve into the lives of famous creatives, their traits, and creative strategies, and how you can apply them to your life. You even get a chance to explore some creative thinking practices. Finally, you closely examine the blocks that are keeping you stuck.
