About the Author

Born and raised in countries where the treatment and roles of women are far from equitable, Rania Habiby Anderson saw from an early age how differently men and women were treated.

Fortunate to have parents who believed that their daughters could be and accomplish anything they wanted, she was provided the great opportunity to attend university and graduate school in the United States.

She had an early successful career at Bank of America in an industry dominated by men. In 1998, she became an executive business coach and has since guided male and female business leaders around the world.

Starting in 2010 and over a four-year period, she researched the habits of women succeeding in emerging economies and wrote Undeterred: The Six Success Habits of Women in Emerging Economies, the first career-advice book expressly for women in these markets.

To her knowledge, she has never been discriminated against or denied equal opportunities because of her gender. She has benefited from the sponsorship of male and female business leaders in her corporate and entrepreneurial endeavors. These personal experiences taught her that most men want to, and do, treat women fairly and that success comes from men and women working together. She is fueled by a deeply held belief that the global economy can only thrive when women are equally engaged in driving and leading its prosperity.

Rania is an international speaker, an executive coach, the founder of The Way Women Work (www.TheWayWomenWork.com), the cofounder of a women's angel investor network, and a committed mentor. Her most cherished roles are as wife and mother.
