This book would still be in my head, my heart, and my frustrations were it not for the countless Flipmen I have encountered on my journey. To you, I say the biggest thank-you imaginable! Thank you for trusting me, thank you for your courage in letting Flipman rule, and thank you for sharing a few words in our Book of Life together. To my own internal Flipman, thank you for giving me the power of choice. In every moment, I realize that it is my perception and my consequential actions that create my pain or joy, and through you I am able to connect with my inner spirit.

To my two beautiful sons, Harison and Jackson: how can I ever thank you for all that you give to this world and to me? Your courage, your insights, and your complete honesty are a constant reminder to me of why all of this matters. You have touched my heart and my soul like no other and have given me the greatest name of my life — Mum!

I have also had the great fortune of being exposed to some of the finest teachers, educators, and guides on the planet. Whether the learning came through a personal connection, a program I attended, a book that I read, or a conversation, my life has been transformed because of all the lives that have crossed my path.

And finally, to my beautiful mother! Mum, you have been through so much and have led such an incredible life. I feel blessed that it was your face looking at me when I was born; you have left your footprints on my heart forever. I thank you for having the courage to revisit your past, understand it, and face your own journey of self-discovery, regardless of the pain it roused in you. You are such an inspiration, and I love you with all my soul.
