Team owners nowadays will say, “This is a business. I need to turn a profit.” However, for many of them owning a team is really just a hobby. If they’re smart enough to become multimultimillionaires in business, they’re going to make more money staying in business than getting into professional sports.

When sports becomes just a business, it loses something intrinsic to its spirit. The spirit of the game is a beautiful thing.
