Successful cloud design requires good data. Successful cloud design, more importantly, requires the effective communication of decision supporting data. Many transformation projects fail from poor communication, poor execution, and a lack of adoption, all potentially resolved with well-executed change management and communication plans. Successful solutions require real-time data; the same data that is very beneficial when used for change management and communication plans.

In this chapter, real-time data takes center stage. Additional scenario data and insights will be examined in greater depth. Additional infrastructure design options and ideas will be explored. Later in the chapter, additional services and application data will be factored into the options reviewed and decisions made.
