The Tecnalia Foundation supported the writing of this book along with the AAL-funded ASSISTANT project (inspired by Jim Sullivan’s work in his Mobility for All Clever project). Many of these ideas were incubated in The Center for LifeLong Learning and Design (L3D) at the University of Colorado under the leadership of Gerhard Fischer and the enriching association of the members and visitors of L3D, most notably Anja Kintsch, Andrew Gorman, Hal Eden, and Ernesto Arias.
