Colored pencils used for swallow

Image

Using navy blue, lightly sketch the shape of the body. The silhouette already looks like a swallow.

Image

Draw the eye and beak with black. Starting with dark mauve, draw the pattern on the face, and then layer over it with deep red.

Image

Color in the shape of the body more distinctly with your navy blue pencil. Leave the chest and the end of the tail blank.

Image

With midnight gray, draw the lower parts of the wing and the end of the tail.

Fill in the body one more time with navy blue, and then use midnight gray to layer over the dark areas once more.
