As storytellers and members of GoPro’s media production department, we feel blessed to have been able to contribute to a dynamic company and watch GoPro grow from a tiny startup to the leading international brand that it is today. This book is an attempt to sum up everything we have learned about capturing and editing GoPro content during that time. This is the book we wish we’d had five years ago, when we first started making videos for GoPro. We’ve taken special care to make the contents applicable to all GoPro users, whether you are a seasoned professional filmmaker or a stoked amateur who has pulled the camera out of the box for the very first time.

With each video, we have tried to give credit to the principal GoPro production artists involved in its creation. This isn’t always easy. Crew members and editors often help direct productions, and directors often work with editors in the editing room. Everyone wears many different hats, so we have tried to credit everyone in their primary role to avoid redundancy. Of course, many other unnamed individuals are involved in these projects. We appreciate all the time, efforts, and patience of everyone involved in our collaborative style of filmmaking.
