• Shape: A block has a fixed shape that cannot be changed.
• Dimensions: A block possesses dimensional characteristics. These characteristics are height and width.
• Color: A block always possesses a color. The color a block possesses is fixed and is maintained throughout the course of its existence.
• Spatial characteristic: A block takes up a fixed amount of space.
• Positional characteristic: At any given point in time, a block has a position that exists in along two axes, – X and Y.
