The more you look at the array of problems and crises around the world, the more you realize that you cannot do everything. If you spread your efforts too thin, you won't be effective, and you'll have little or nothing to show for your efforts. Giving a small amount of money to every cause that comes along may not the best way to spend your resources. Just as you do in your own life—deciding what matters the most to you, and where you want to devote your 168 hours per week—you need to prioritize. Ask yourself: what are the issues about which your organization is most passionate? Are there certain needs for which you have a particular affinity?
