In Part I we provided some background material related to the concepts of justice and
sustainability. ese two concepts serve as the foundation for our idea of just technology. Justice
is an obvious point; sustainability may not seem so obvious but it is just as central to our thesis.
is is true because it is the concepts of sustainability in a time when there are such serious,
long-term issues facing humanity, that sustainability concepts must be a framing goal of our
efforts. In Part II we take up the next task and develop an approach for implementing our goal
of just technology. is part has five chapters, each dedicated to a question based on the Just War
concept, that are translated into four new questions that can potentially lead to Just Technology.
