glitter body frosting
Every girl likes to sparkle! Just rub some frosting wherever you want a little glitter. You can double
this recipe as many times as you like. You need a scale, a few bowls, a spoon, an electric mixer,
and 2- or 4-ounce (57- to 113.4-gram) sterile jars. (I did not create this recipe.) Makes 7 ounces,
but it’s whipped, so you need extra jars.
1. Set a bowl on the scale, and push the tare button to zero out the weight of the bowl.
Weigh the cornstarch, butter, and oils, and place them in a bowl. Using the mixer on
medium speed, blend the oils and butter together.
2. Increase the mixer speed to whip or high, and whip the mixture. And whip it some more!
3. When the frosting is very light and fluffy, weigh and add the fragrance and preservative.
Now add the glitter. Whip again until everything is well incorporated.
4. Scoop the frosting into jar(s).
simple acne sugar scrub
You use the same plain brown and white sugars you buy at your local grocery store to make this
scrub. That sugar eats bacteria and helps clear acne. Really! You need a scale, a few bowls, a
spoon, and two 8-ounce (226.8-gram) sterile jars or one 16-ounce (453.6-gram) sterile jar. Makes
16 ounces (453.6 grams).
8 oz. (226.8g) brown sugar
4 oz. (113.4g) white sugar
4 oz. (113.4g) jojoba oil
.2 oz. (5.7g) your choice fragrance or
essential oil
Preservative (manufacturer’s recommenda-
tion)
1. Set a bowl on the scale, and push the tare button to zero out the weight of the bowl.
Weigh the sugars, and place them in a medium bowl.
2. Set a bowl on the scale, push the tare button again, and weigh the oil. Slowly add the oil
to the sugars, and stir well.
3. Set a bowl on the scale, push the tare button again, and weigh the fragrance oil and
preservative. Add to the scrub mixture, and stir well.
4. Pour the scrub mixture into jar(s).
